Ìborí (Ori Consecration Ceremony)
Deep renewal aligning destiny with divine purpose.
Service Description
The Ìborí is one of the most profound ceremonies dedicated to the orí, or spiritual head. Unlike the regular Èborí, which refreshes and strengthens the orí, the Ìborí consecrates, re-aligns, and deeply empowers it. This ceremony honors the covenant made before birth, reconnecting the individual with their destiny (ayànmọ̀) and ensuring that their life path remains aligned with divine purpose. The ceremony involves extended prayers, offerings, and sacred acts performed directly upon and for the orí. Depending on the prescriptions from divination, elements such as herbs, food, water, and ritual objects may be used. Each step is performed with prayer and intention, creating a sacred environment for renewal. Benefits include clarity of vision, peace of heart, and renewed alignment with destiny. Many people turn to Ìborí at times of major transition, after hardships, or when they feel deeply disconnected. Because the orí is the foundation of all blessings, this ceremony is one of the most important in Yorùbá spiritual tradition.
