The orí — literally “head” in Yorùbá — is the seat of personal destiny (ayànmọ̀), spiritual consciousness (orí inú), and inner alignment with the divine. In traditional practice, the orí is understood as the most important Òrìṣà a person will ever serve, for it governs the individual’s path in life and their ability to fulfill their destiny. Èborí, or the ritual “feeding of the head,” is a sacred ceremony performed to refresh, strengthen, and empower the orí. These items are offered and applied with prayer to strengthen your spiritual head and reconnect you with your higher self.
