In Yorùbá spirituality, Orí — the head — is more than the body’s crown. It is destiny, consciousness, and the first Òrìṣà within each person. Orí shapes our emotions, relationships, memories, and imagination, guiding how we live and grow. Through prayer, gentle offerings like water and honey, and the practice of good character (ìwà pẹ̀lẹ́), we honor Orí. As the elders say: “Orí rere ni ma ń jẹni lọ́lá” — a good head brings one to honor.
