WHAT
WE DO

Arts & Culture programming.

Our goal is to showcase Yorùbá-centric arts programming online and transitions us to incorporate linguistics, fashion, design, music, folklore, and streaming performances. We produce workshops and interactive demonstrations centered on Yorùbá culture open to the public and accessible online. We use art, folklore, and cultural values to create immersive experiences that highlight especially our Yorùbá culture. Our projects foster artistic behaviors for creative expression to achieve excellence in our community while exploring how art can provide pathways toward the advancement of BIPOC.

In addition to the examples of our past activities listed in our proposal, we have a list of activities that we have done regularly and were open to the public in the past, including:

Character Development

We help individuals accept their cultural legacy, heal from generational trauma and curses, and receive spiritual support to help them realize the best potential accessible to them.

Community Collaborations

Our doors are open to the community. It is how we preserve our cultural legacy and it is how we will motivate the community. We seek to broaden our relationships that lead to creating a world of peace.

Artistic Development

We produce curatorial work using community artists highlighting African culture and nurturing young artists to give them opportunities to create and present new and developed work.

Uplifting Youth

Our way of enriching the lives of the children within the community. The day is filled with fun activities including art & crafts, prizes, storytelling, and live entertainment from community artists.

Promoting Black Excellence

We celebrate the richness of African culture and black excellence in the community and our cultural heritage to uplift BIPOC.

Cultural Awareness

We produce curatorial work using community artists highlighting African culture and nurturing young artists to give them opportunities to create and present new and developed work.

Community Resilience

Our community has an outstanding artistic traditions (dance, woodcarving, sculptures, metalwork, clothing, textiles, and beadwork). We support and uplift these traditions.
