Starting your spiritual journey

Divination dictates the spiritual journey that a devotee should embark upon. The Lukumí tradition is individually tailored to the devotee's spiritual needs because he or she has their own individual path that they must walk. This means that what is spiritually good or helpful for one devotee may not be good or helpful to another. The receipt of an initiation is a step toward developing a devotee spiritually and mentally while allowing them to develop a relationship with divinity and being placed in alignment with their higher self. Often this is during a time when a devotee is at a spiritual crossroads or in need of spiritual intervention. Each person has their own spiritual needs and must listen to the advice of divination in order to choose the best course of action to fulfill those needs as to progress in life.
